FOR THE KIDS
Many services are provided for children being treated at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. All expenses involved in the care and treatment of the child is 100% covered by the Four Diamonds Fund. Along with this, various other services are offered to help the child and his or her family adjust to living with the diagnosis.

Child Life Specialists - help the child and siblings confront their fears of upcoming treatment.

Nutritionalists - who help keep the child as healthy as possible with a balanced diet.

Clinical Psychology - is offered to children and families who are having difficulty managing life with the disease and treatment.

Nurse Specialists - who are well-trained in the long term care of children and deal with pediatric cases around the clock.

Music Therapy - is also given as a nothing form to assist the children in pain management and tough life adjustments

Pastoral Care - is also an important aspect of treatment for patients who find their faith an important way to cope with their hospitilization.

It's time again to prepare for MiniTHON at Archbishop Wood! Last year was not only fun, it was also a huge success. Considering MiniTHON 2014 was our first year participating in Penn State's THON network, this year will be even better.
